Ekro works with the wholesale and retail trade, the food service industry and meal manufacturers. Ekro is part of the Dutch family-owned company, the VanDrie Group. The VanDrie Group is globally-oriented, but works locally – with companies in the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Italy and Germany. The VanDrie Group is characterised by chain integration: the company has control over all the links of the production. Its various subsidiaries produce veal and beef, animal feed, raw dairy materials and calf skins. The VanDrie Group also trades in dairy products for industrial use and assists dairy farmers in rearing their calves.
