VanDrie Group Dutch Veal Week in Saudi Arabia

From 7 to 13 May 2018, the VanDrie Group is holding a Dutch Veal Week event in cooperation with the Dutch embassy in Riyadh. Saudi Arabia is an important growth market for the VanDrie Group. During the Dutch Veal Week, important Saudi contacts and consumers will learn all about the many qualities of and option offered by veal.

Customers of the VanDrie Group were invited to attend the opening day of the Dutch Veal Week. The ambassador, Joost Reintjes, was present to officially open the VanDrie Group Dutch Veal Week, together with Dutch chef Edgar Buhrs.  During this event, a special veal-based menu will be served every evening for guests at the Marriott Hotel's steak restaurant. The Dutch Veal Week is not only limited to the steak house of the Marriott hotel. Edgar Buhrs is present all week in Riyadh to cook for customers of the VanDrie Group. In addition, Buhrs is giving a masterclass to chefs from the Marriott and other hotel chains, in addition to which he will be cooking at an event for the ambassador and his guests.  ´Cooperation with the embassy, which is deeply rooted in Saudi Arabia, is essential to our company. The embassy staff know the local market and culture very well. This helps us to make better use of our sales potential,´ says Henny Swinkels, Director Corporate Affairs VanDrie Group.
